R.C. (Randy) Cowell obtained a Master of Science degree in Geology from the Herff College of Engineering at the University of Memphis in 1977. After spending nine years as an Exploration Geologist, he entered the financial services industry. In 1994, Randy founded ACT Financial Services, Inc., a comprehensive financial services firm.
Randy is a Certified Financial Planner (CFPⓇ), as an Investment Advisor Representative of Horner, Townsend, and Kent, Inc. and recognized as a Fellow by the Underwriters Training Council (LUTCF). Randy has most recently earned a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designation from The College of Financial Planning.
His expertise as a Certified Financial Planner, combined with a unique "Biblically-based" philosophy, has served his clients well for almost three decades. Randy is active within the community, teaching and promoting the benefits of wise stewardship. When called upon, Randy teaches the concepts of financial stewardship at churches and conferences statewide. Randy is author of God Good-Debt Bad, Inspiration and Motivation for Debt-Free Living and is a featured columnist for Community Spirit Magazine. He and his wife, Marcelle, have two children, Julie and Justin and two grandchildren. In Randy's spare time he enjoys sports photography and participating in competitive tennis. He currently resides in Tulsa, OK.
